Anniversary Celebrations

Husbie and I had a fabulous day together celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The weather was gorgeous and we spent most of the day outside enjoying the sunshine. We started the day off at Fort Edmonton Park, which is where we had our engagement photos with Diamond Cake Photography taken last year!

We played mini golf (I won!), and we visited the midway, where Husbie won a wooden snake for hitting the bell at the top of the “How Strong Are You?” tower on his first try! We strolled hand in hand, we rode the ferris wheel and we reminisced about our first year of marriage. Time really does move quickly! It feels like just yesterday that we said “I do”.

After Fort Edmonton Park, we had some lunch at home and then headed downtown with the intention of visiting the AGA. We arrived downtown at 4:30pm and I realized that the museum closed at 5:00pm, whoops! We put our toes in the water instead, which was absolutely glorious. It’s finding happiness in the little things that makes days like this one memorable!

Then we headed to Whyte Avenue to stroll around the Fringe Festival, pick up the tickets to our show, and enjoy sushi for dinner! We saw One Man Lord of the Rings, which was hilarious, entertaining, and mind-boggling. One man, one hour 15 minutes, 3 movies, ALL the characters! Charlie Ross is extremely talented!

It was such a lovely way to spend our first wedding anniversary! I’m so lucky to have a man who enjoys playing tourist in our city with me and finding fun things to do in our own backyard. I love adventures! Here’s to many more Husbie ❤
