It started with this picture from this home tour that Diana shared a few weeks ago. Emerald green is back, and it is FIERCE. Jaw. Drop. This dining room is the perfect combination of modern finishes seen in the chrome legs, glass pendant and white pedestal table, and natural textures in the wicker chairs, bamboo shades, cowhide rug, lambskin throw and oversized artwork on the wall. Even though the emerald green walls are bold, they still manage to feel calm and fresh. I’m in love!
Since this picture is burned on the back of my retinas, I’ve been seeing emerald green pop up all over the place. The image below takes my love of pattern mixing off the charts. It also makes me want to float around all day in a dress covered in palm leaves. Preferably on a beach with a mojito in hand.
What is possibly better than an emerald green claw foot tub? How about an emerald green claw foot tub filled with pink bubble bath, with a glass of wine in one hand and a one of these Female Biographies in the other?
This doorway makes me feel like Elizabeth Bennett, entering a grand hall, ready to dance the night away with Mr. Darcy. All it needs is a giant gold lion door knocker. There is a strong possibility that this is the direction that I’ll take for my front door in the spring…
The emerald green walls, the texture, the lighting, the GOLD. This is nostalgia and coziness and elegance all bundled up into one magical little vignette. Gotta love the mix of modern lighting with vintage goodies. Note to self: it’s time to visit the Antique Mall again soon.
If I had seen this picture before Nathan and I got married, I might have made a pretty strong case for an emerald green suit. Seriously! Can we also talk about how utterly magical that photo backdrop is? I want to get married all over again…
Last but not least, this grand emerald green library with a bit of vintage sparkle, wild leopard, and black for contrast. ‘Scuse me while I curl up with a cuppa something hot and read a few chapters of my latest historical romance…

I think I have a mini obsession too!! Love the photos you found!
It’s such a beautiful and rich colour! I’ve always had a thing for jewel tones. So dreamy 🙂
I love emerald green in dresses, never thought of it on walls or suits but I think I may have to start looking for more of it in our life!
The walls are so striking! Same with that wedding suit…so unique! I’m trying to think of where I can use this colour at our place…(*cough* front door)
SO much love for this post – ever since I saw that image I have not been able to stop thinking about that green! I’m currently trying to convince james that we need to paint a room that color of maybe get a sofa in that green!
When you posted that image I swear I looked at that home tour like 3 times! SIGH! A tufted emerald sofa or club chair would be to die for!
Right?! Gah it’s gonna be a hard sell for james but hopefully I can break him down eventually lol
